Submission of Papers   (deadline: 1st May 2014)   

Considering the recent Easter holidays, there will be flexibility in accepting full papers submitted few days after the official deadline.

Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit a full paper to be published on conference proceedings or, alternatively, an extended abstract (shorter than 3 pages and not published on proceedings) to be presented at WDSA 2014 conference.


The full paper template provided by Elsevier is attached on the bottom of this page. Authors must use this template for submitting their papers while strictly following the guidelines provided at

Each full paper shall consist of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of eight (8) pages, including figures and all appendices.

It is mandatory that each paper published in the conference proceedings is accompanied by at least one registration fee payment.



Thanks to many reserachers the following sessions have been organized in advance, inside the relevant topics of WDSA 2014, in order to promote the consistency of the presentations and manuscripts through the sessions.

People interested in joining promoted sessions are kindly asked to send an email at indicating the name of the session and the title of the paper submitted.

Note: these are not Special Sessions but a way to improve the consistency inside the sessions.



The following international journals, indexed on ISI Web of Science, agreed to accept extended versions of  selected papers from the conference:

- Water Science and Technology: Water Supply -  IWA Publishing
- Journal of Hydroinformatics  -  IWA Publishing
Selected manuscripts will be required to have elements of novelty and must be extended at least 50% for journal submission. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit the extended manuscript after the presentation at WDSA 2014 conference.
